C. and G. Koopman, Ermerveen; the Dutch royalties of International sieges

No one made as many International headlines as the Cornelius and Gerard Koopman partnership from Ermerveen. From the eighties on they climbed the podium International success, to never leave it again. In the nineties their fame grew to enormous highs, the story of the 'hottest men' in International pigeon racing.

THEIR FAMILY OF PIGEONS, BASED ON THE JANSSENS OF ARENDONK AND THE LOUIS VAN LOONS, ARE RATED AS ONE OF THE BEST TEAMS OF WINNERS IN THE WORLD. THE YEARS OF HARD LABOUR THAT WENT INTO FORMING THIS STRAIN HAS MOST CERTAINLY PAYED OF NOW. AT THE END OF THE EIGHTIES KOOPMAN FIRST STARTED THEIR CLIMB TO THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PODIUM, TO NEVER LEAVE. EVERY YEAR THEIR NAME IS AGAINST THE TOP PRIZE WINNERS AND THEIR BIRDS WIN NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ACEBIRD TITLES.

Cornelius and Gerard Koopman most certainly have the momentum in Dutch pigeon sport, AS IN 2004 THEY HAVE WON A/O 3X 1ST NATIONAL AND NO LESS THAN 23 NATIONAL TOP 10 POSITIONS. A great number of National victories, National championships and Olympiad birds throughout the last decade made the top class Koopman strain ‘most wanted’ in the world.
